Creativity Conversations

A series of café style conversations on creativity, innovation, and transdisciplinary work

Wednesdays 5.30-6.30pm
Sept 12th - Nov 28th
IOCT

The creativity conversations are about enabling cross disciplinary dialogue that draws together thinking from a wide range of perspectives.   They should:

  • Enhance understanding about the creative process and how creativity might be developed.
  • Enhance understanding about the nature of creativity and its relationships with innovation.
  • Enhance understanding about the conditions which underpin creativity and the circumstances that lead from creativity to innovation
  • Assist researchers in exploring jointly ideals which could subsequently translate into research projects.
  • Stimulate new collaborative relationships between researchers and practitioners, drawing upon the experiences of businesses to develop practical solutions for increasing creativity and innovation in policy and practice within industry.

The conversations will take place in an informal setting to encourage and facilitate participation and collaboration.   They are being led by pairs of individuals, each focusing on a topic around creativity, innovation and transdisciplinary working.   Each pair will kick off what is expected to be a lively group discussion, resulting in a deeper understanding of what we mean by creativity and innovation, how to employ creativity and innovation more effectively and ideas for specific projects focused on increasing creativity and innovation in policy and practice within industry.

Creativity Conversations take place every Wednesday evening 5.30-6.30pm in the IOCT (see map, building 34), September 12 th - November 28 th .   Attendance is free.   Proceedings are recorded so that a record of ideas can be built up and published.

Come along, bring a colleague, share some coffee and ideas in a relaxed and creative atmosphere.
